Silvano Alves

Silvano Alves is a 23 year old bull rider that is ranked 1st in the league. He is originally from Brazil and grew up bull riding. He eventually became a professional rider and was listed in the Professional Bull Riders Built Ford Tough division. Since he started the journey he has won over 8 tournaments as well as the World Championships.

Alves became the first rider in PBR history to win the Built Ford Tough Series World Championship the year after earning the Rookie of the Year title on Sunday. Alves earned $1 million for winning the World Championship, which brings his season earnings to $1,456,964. Throughout the tournament he rode Bushwaker which I have talked about in earlier posts. He is one of the toughest bulls out there and he stayed to earn his own title as Bull of the Year. He was the first Brazilian in six years to win the title.

He is being looked up to by many younger bull riders and as well as people his age. He shows everyone that anything you want to do is possible. I think that Silvano is a very important person because coming from a different country it is often hard to start up a career and succeed and he surely did that. He managed to fight through to the top and overcome all the people that said he would never make it. He made it to the top and plans to stay there and this is someone that I look up to.
